For advisors, it's critical to keep selling new policies as the commision structure for life insurance is heavily focused on FYC (first-year commision). However as time goes on those existing policyholders will have changing needs and will need new products to replace the temporary products they bought. One of the best places to look for new sales can come from within your existing block or a block you have purchased. in this guide, we'll take you through how to:
1) Request your clients
2) Import them all in one spot
3) Get notified of critical policy milestones
If you're an Annual Premier subscriber, we can complete steps 1 and 2 for you. All you have to do is fill out this form, and We can make the requests. More details are available in the form, as well as a contact email if you have any questions.
Step 1: Request your clients
Sign into your LDA account or start your free 30-day trial. From the Dashboard, select "Import Clients."
Step 2: Select Carriers
Under "Request Clients," find the company whose block you wish to retrieve and click "Request Clients." If you already have your clients in a spreadsheet skip to Step 3
Fill in your details including name, email and advisor code and click "Send." An email will be sent on your behalf from us. You will be CCed in the email and the company will send you a spreadsheet with your clients. Please keep in mind each insurance company has a different response time. Please let us know if you don't receive anything in 2 weeks. You can also log into your company Advisor Portal to retrieve your block, in some cases.
Step 3: Importing Clients
Once you have received your block of business from the company or you have retrieved it from an Advisor Portal, you can go back to the Client Import page and click on "Custom - Import."
Select "Click Here" to locate the spreadsheet on your computer or drag and drop the file from that location. Click "Upload" when you are finished.
Step 4: Match Columns
Using the drop-down menus, select the appropriate column heading that best matches the applicable field in LDA (For Example we ask for "Birthday" which may need to be matched with the field "D.O.B" in your spreadsheet file). Click "Upload" when you are finished matching as many fields as you can. Remember if you need help feel free to contact us or click the live chat on the right side.
Thats all there is to it!
Now you can mine your block of business from the manage clients area for more sales opportunity with the click of one of our Case Opportunities filter buttons. You will also get notifications when policies hit critical milestones (such as a term 10 hitting the 7th year). Life Design Analysis can also automatically run a recepie of your choice when one of these opportunities comes up so you have a sales presentation to deliver automatically.
